Educational organizations, whether public or private, have a unique set of criteria for the design and construction process. Bastien is experienced in all phases of this type of work, including working within the complex, sometimes political circumstances of educational capital improvement projects. Gary Bastien, AIA sits on the advisory board of Chapman University's School of Film and Television, and has worked on numerous facilities for colleges and universities across the country. In addition, Jim Kier, our Director of Architecture, has completed numerous public projects under highly politicized circumstances. Bastien and Associates, Inc. works intensely to foster community support for both public and private projects. Our online community-building expertise allows us to quickly reach out to the press and local residents via the Internet by creating interactive websites on short notice. We are available to do feasibility studies, capital assessments, programming, masterplanning, phasing, and all aspects of design development and permitting.
